About Us

Here at Highpoint, we do not consider ourselves professional breeders per se. By that, we mean we do not earn our living through breeding.

We breed occasionally because of our love for this wonderful breed. It is our way of giving something back to the breed by breeding for natural ability, stable temperament, conformation to the standard, intelligence and personality.  In this way, we can perpetuate the line and provide puppies for other potential new owners to enjoy as we have.

We live in Cobourg, Ontario which is a town in eastern Ontario on the north shore of Lake Ontario. The Northumberland County Forest, encompassing over 6,000 acres, is 10 minutes from our home and where we run our dogs when not hunting or training. Our hunting and training grounds are 30 minutes away and where we spend most of our spring, summer and fall. This has allowed our dogs to develop into what they were bred for... well conditioned athletes who love to run and hunt.
